WHAT HAPPENS

Your first flight, step by step.

Meet Your Instructor

You'll meet your CFI on the ramp at KTVI, talk through what you want out of training, and get a feel for how we teach.

Preflight Walkaround

We walk the airplane together. You learn how a pilot inspects an aircraft before every flight, just like the airlines do.

You Take the Controls

Once we're airborne, you fly. Straight and level, turns, climbs, and descents. You do the flying, with your instructor right there.

04

Debrief

Back on the ground, we talk through what you did, answer every question, and map out what your training would look like.

About 1 hour

Roughly one hour of flight time plus preflight and debrief on the ground.

Flat rate for the Discovery Flight. One passenger is welcome to ride along.

AIRCRAFT
C172S / G1000

You'll fly our Cessna 172S with Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

WHAT TO WEAR

Dress for the ramp.

  • Closed toe shoes you can feel the rudder pedals in.
  • Layers. It can be cool in the cockpit and warm on the ramp.
  • Sunglasses. The Georgia sun is bright at altitude.
  • No bulky scarves or loose items that can catch on controls.
WHAT TO BRING

Not much. Just you.

  • A valid government photo ID.
  • Your questions about training, cost, and timeline.
  • A passenger if you'd like to bring one along.
  • A phone or camera for photos on the ramp.
