Built by a pilot who couldn't stop teaching.
SkyDawgs exists to teach real skill, not just test passing. Here is why, and who we are.

I could be relaxing on a beach.
About a decade ago I earned my certificate and started teaching as a CFI, then moved to the airlines, where I've served as a Captain and Line Check Airman. I could be relaxing on a beach. Aviation isn't just my job, it's my obsession, the one thing I have to do.
As an airline instructor I saw new pilots who got their certificates quickly but lacked the skills to handle things when they went wrong. Flying by hand with the autopilot out. Navigating with VORs when GPS fails. The tradition of experienced pilots teaching new pilots has faded, and too much training focuses on passing fast instead of mastering skills.
Glass cockpits are great, and many are easier to use than airline systems. That is exactly why I teach what to do when the screens or automation aren't there.
I looked for student focused schools and found very few, so I built one. If you were learning to be an electrician, you'd want an experienced professional teaching you. Flight training should be the same.
Teach every pilot to a skill level that keeps them safe and makes them stand out, whether they fly for fun or for a career.
